Freaky Weeks

I showed up at The Asylum this morning to surprised, joyful smiles. I thought I'd entered The Twilight Zone.

Apparently the GM's secretary had put me down to be off the next two days, but no one, including her, knows why. Thelma came in early to enter all the orders I had waiting on my desk, so now I'm kind of just sitting here picking my nose.

Whatever.

I look for a new job every day, but there's just nothing out there for a sales ninja.

I was able to get my house payment caught up. They were calling and sending letters, between the mortgage bank and the one that holds the loan on Jolene, the harassment was constant. I had made an appointment at a government funded mortgage relief program, but everyone within their organization had a different opinion about whether or not I'd be qualified. So instead, I applied for a hardship withdraw on my 401K, which was approved. It took a week to get the check, then my internet bank held the funds for 5 working days. The day I deposited it, the Jolene bank called and said if they didn't get a payment by the next day, they would put Jolene out for repossession. I left work that night, drove the hour to Big City and dropped a check in their night deposit. The next day I found out about my deposit being held and my payment ended up bouncing from here to BFE.

As soon as the funds were released by the internet bank, I wrote another check to the Jolene bank, with a note stating that it was to replace the one that was returned, explaining about the held funds, etc. I had T.A. drop it off after work that night. The next day the original check cleared my account. I reckon they resubmitted it. So now I'm holding my breath that the second check doesn't clear before my direct deposit goes in.

Is it any wonder my brain is fried?

In other news, some of you may have noticed that my Etsy shop is no more. It's a long story, but the gist of it is, with my wonky hands, failing eyesight and our post office keeping Little House on the Prairie hours, I just couldn't keep up.

I still have gobs of supplies and I'm still going to make things when I can, but instead of trying to advertise, ship, photograph, write descriptions, etc., I'm going to hit up a few of  the little consignment shops around town to sell some stuff for me. When if I get over loaded with stuff, I'll just stick a table in the front yard and sell to the hikers.

Simplify.

I've also given up on the Curvy Corset, for which I had grand hopes. The only suppliers of plus sized lingerie that are willing to drop ship, seem to be the sleezy, cheap looking stuff. That's really not what I wanted to sell. I may still do a drop ship website, but instead of jumping in with both feet, I'm going to take my time figuring out what to sell and make sure the suppliers are there before I get all crazypants.

One thing you CAN be sure of however, the book? She is happening.

I'm not pinned down on my working title yet, but the subtitle will be "The spiritual journey of a middle aged fat girl"

I just need to get out of the mind set that my house needs to be clean or laundry needs to be done before I can sit down to write. I need to accept that those two things will never be "done" anyway.

Working on that.

Anywho...

I guess I should file or something. Ya'll have a good one. We'll talk again soon.

Later Taters!

Sorry about the bank hassles.....they are neverending, and they keep trying to come up with ways to charge you for stuff that used to be free. Pretty soon, Ima keep my $$ (what little there is) in the mattress.

I'd think trying to keep up with Etsy/PO/making stuff would be a full-time job - but what do I know?

Happy New Year, Mahala. After 2013, there's nowhere to go but up!

I'm sorry you had to let the etsy site go, but I really do understand. Old books interest me more than clothes, so if you want to unload some, let me know.

Don't you wish we lived in 24th century Star Trek where they don't *use* money? Life would be so much simpler, wouldn't it?

Sorry about the money troubles...it seems to be going around here too. I have taken the "F" it attitude lately. Good luck with the book, I can't wait to read it. A new year is coming so keep hoping for better days.

Glad the book is moving along, I'll buy it. It is more important than the dishes etc. May a very good New Year dawn for you.
