It's cloudy and colder than a well digger's butt here in the holler this morning. We had a few spits of snow over the weekend, but it must have been really pouring up on Fall Branch. We listened to the scrape and jingle of salt trucks running by the house all day and night. They're calling for more of the white stuff tonight and into tomorrow and now that it's cooled off considerably, we just might get it.
The weekend was quiet and, for the most part, uneventful. By Saturday evening I'd finished reading "Yesterday I Cried" and let me just tell ya, I bawled buckets through the whole thing. My tears weren't just for the author and the things she went through and eventually worked through, but also for myself. There were so many parallels between her story and mine, it helped me to understand why I feel the way I do about so many things. It also gave me hope that eventually I will come out on the other side of all this... crap. When I went in the library last week, I had asked to no one in particular to be shown what I needed to read and there is no doubt in my mind that that was exactly what happened.
Here at the Asylum I've wasted most of the morning. Bossman is out of the office and I'm taking advantage of being unsupervised. I wrote out my truck payment, paid my cell phone bill and balanced my checking account. Okay so, I've gotten stuff done, just not what I'm supposed to.
Anywho, I should probably find something to do. There's a pile of closed orders on my desk that's starting to slide sideways. I guess that means I need to file them.
Ya'll have a great Monday. Let's call it Pre-Tuesday instead and see if that helps.
Later Taters!

Who wrote that book, Mahala?
kenju: Iyanla Vanzant, she's written several self help / female empowerment type books. I love her to pieces.
Hmm, I think you should have a blog giveaway and give that book to me. I guess that would defeat the purpose of a giveaway, but I never win anything. LOL
hmm.. I dunno rachel, I think maybe the library would frown upon that lol.
I may have to look into that book. Yes, Pre-Tuesday, however, I was lucky enough to have the day off. Woot!
Maybe Tuesday Eve? Makes it have a magical holiday feel.
