Craig Ferguson, His Girlfriend, Extra Money and Sliding Piles

When I got up this morning, the thermometer read 11° out on the front porch. We got a little more snow last night, leaving everything sparkling and white. The Amazon had to be to work at 5:45 a.m. I'll bet she was wide awake by the time she got there, after walking two blocks in the snow, all before the butt crack of dawn. I'm sure she enjoyed her free cup of hot coco after she clocked in.

Things are quiet here at the Asylum this morning. Thelma took the rest of the week off so Louise has twice as much to do and no one to talk to. As Martha Stewart would say, it's a good thing. The only annoying noise I've had to endure thus far is the sound of Bubbles crunching loudly on a big ol' tube of Pringles. Bless her heart, girlfriend must not have had a bite to eat in six months the way she's chowing down over there.

I kept my head stuck in the filing cabinet for two hours yesterday afternoon and conquered one of the two huge piles of paper. The other pile is sitting on the edge of my desk, teetering a bit to the right, threatening to slide off into the floor. Tackling that monstrous beast will be next on my agenda this morning. Problem is, after that I won't have much anything else to keep me busy and that makes for along day.

I was blessed, overjoyed and filled with unbridled glee this morning by being able, after two months, to begin my day watching Craig Ferguson do his thing.

*sniffle*

It was beautiful man.

*wipes away a tear*

There were no guests, just Mister Fergilicious himself, doing what he does best. I was a little disturbed seeing his girlfriend, Dolly, cast aside as he left her lying there, alone, when he left to do his show. I didn't get a chance to see the whole thing, I'll have to watch the rest of it when I go home for lunch. I recorded David Letterman's return to the air too, it'll give us something to watch besides reruns on the boob tube tonight.

OH.. by the way! Remember when I mentioned that I'd written four articles for Helium, but I didn't think I was going to bother with it anymore? I received an email from them yesterday, one of the four articles was purchased. How cool is that? I guess I'll rethink my decision about writing for them, at least until I can find a better job.

Ah well, as they say in the holler, "time's a' wastin!" We'll talk again soon. I think I'm gonna go call Dolly, she looked a little lonely.

Later Taters!

Way to go on selling to Helium! That is something I would like to try. It's encouraging to hear that it works!

Interested in knowing how much helium pays and if it's worth it... PPP isn't doing me much good this past month since Google slapped me down.

Congrats on selling the article, that's great!

I was thinking of looking into adopting Dolly - poor girl. She can share the time-out room with Siren.
