Blowin' in the Wind

I'm just stopping in for a quickie this morning, I'm sure ya'll will forgive me when I explain why. The loan check from my pension plan arrived in the mail yesterday, so I'm taking off at noon to go car shopping. We may be eating beans n' wienies for the next seven years, but I intend to come home with a new vehicle of some kind.

Beans n' wienies ain't bad, if you cook them with a little mustard and honey.

I dropped my resume and uber snotty cover letter in the mail for that job posting yesterday. I've been daydreaming about the possibilities ever since. The job title is "Executive Director," but that's because it's a one person operation.

An office to myself.

Don't worry, I'll find other things to write about without Bubbles, Thelma and Louise.

So ya'll keep me in your thoughts today. There's a change in the air. If you sit real still and close your eyes, you can almost hear it blowing in across the top of the mountain. It's bringing good things. I can feel it.

You go Mahala...good things to ya! If I see santa I'll tell him what you're asking! Can't wait to hear about the new car (went through this a couple years ago)....it is such a nice feeling to have a reliable vehicle!

If you buy a car, we demand a picture. A real picture. Good luck!

That wind of change should blow over me too, shouldn't it? Even just the tail-end of it would be appreciated.

I'm seeing you in a new convertible, snapping your fingers and some gum, wearing some fuzzy earmuffs, riding the mountain curves to the new job. A happy girl.

Good luck dolphie! It goes without saying if you want something, you just have to go for it and things will fall into place. 2008 is looking GREAT for you! Good on you for taking charge of your own destiny.
