My apologies for no post yesterday. I had a screamer of a pukey headache and ended up leaving work around noonish.
When I got home, the puking commenced. The Amazon had built a roaring fire, fit to roast a woolly mammoth, in the fireplace. Oh.. did I fail to mention that the furnace wasn't working when I got up yesterday morning? Anywho, the aroma of wood smoke doesn't agree with me when I have one of those nasty sinus headaches and it was JUST the thing I needed to set those digestive juices off on a revolt.
I slept through the repairmen doing their thing and although I felt weak, the headache was gone by around six. I dozed off and on all evening and like a rock all night. I'm ready to take the world on today.
Maybe that's just a tad bit of an exaggeration. I do feel better though.
Since I was home feeling puny, I was able to intercept the weekly Hee-Haw county paper before Ma took it off to her room, to be lost forever. There was a job listed in the classified ads that I qualify for, which I'm certain pays more than the pittance I make here.
A state job, and it's in Frog Pond Holler.
I'll be setting aside some break time this morning to work on my resume'.
Had I not left work early and been there when the Amazon brought the paper home, I wouldn't have known about it. If the furnace hadn't been out, the Amazon wouldn't have been awake that time of day and wouldn't have gone to get a paper.
Everything happens for a reason.
Ya'll keep your fingers (and toes and eyes) crossed for me. I'll keep ya posted.
Later Taters!
