Revenge of the Cuddly

It's late. I'm pooped. I can't promise much.

Did ya'll hear about the drunken Chinese migrant worker who, while visiting the zoo, decided he wanted to pet the panda? He jumped the fence and tried to pet the sleeping bear which obviously startled it, and upon waking, it bit him on the leg. In self defence (yeah right) the migrant worker then bit the panda on the back and a scuffle ensued.

"“No one ever said they would bite people,” Zhang said. “I just wanted to touch it. I was so dizzy from the beer. I don’t remember much.”

Could someone please just smack this dumbass upside the head? I mean really. I see no need in trying to explain to this person about wild animals or why there are fences, etc.

Just give him a good Italian mama style *whack* on the back of the head. That's all he needs.

What can we learn from this?

1. Never try to grope a sleeping panda.

2. If you sneak up on a sleeping panda, it will kick your ass.

3. You can have too much beer.

4. Bar hopping and visiting the zoo do not go together.

5. Cute and cuddly things bite back.

MSNBC reports, "Newspaper photographs showed Zhang lying on a hospital bed with blood-soaked bandages and a seam of stitches running down his leg."

The panda however, is fine.

This concludes Mahala's life lesson for today.

Actually the most interesting thing I personally found about this story was one of the last lines, that you didn't add here... one we would NEVER see in America...

the authorities weren't charging him with anything as they said he had quite the shock already.

I'll have to go back and read that article again Merritt... I thought they were talking about the panda when they said that.

Can you tell I'm really not with it lately?
