The recipe I saw said to use Grands biscuits, as long as it wasn't the layered kind. Just cut a hole in the middle and fry them, turning once. You can make a glaze, but I was lazy and just sprinkled powdered sugar. They're okay, but a little dense. Maybe I can find some "lighter" biscuits to use.
My mom used to make these. So good. You can use the smaller biscuts and cut them in half. They fry up really nice. They have them on the buffet at the Chinese places here. If yo sprinkle regular sugar on them while they are hot makes a yummy treat.
