Okay, ya'll had to know I'd be whining about having to come back to the office this morning.
And here I am.
Let the whining commence.
No lie, Bubbles came IN THE DOOR, hollerin' like somethin' foolish, "GOOD MORNING!! How are YOU today? And HELLO Mr. Bossman, how was YOUR holiday weekend?"
To which he sheepishly replied, "finethankshowwasyours?"
"It was just WONDERFUL! I didn't do A THING, all weekend long! But BOY does it feel SO GOOD to be back at work this morning!!!"
At that moment, I would have paid any amount of money for a pellet gun. Hell, I may have even been persuaded to commit morally corrupt carnal acts for use of any weapon at all.
I mean, of COURSE she didn't do a thing all weekend. Her mother-in-law cooks for her whole family every day and Bubbahubby does all the laundry, the vacuuming and takes care of the yard.
What could she POSSIBLY have to do?
I reckon if all I had to do for four days was sit around with my thumb up my ass I'd be glad to get back to work too.
Oh my, that sounded ugly didn't it? Downright snarky, in a jealous, catty sort of way.
*snort*
Ask me if I give a crappadoodle.
Anywho, I have to admit, if I'd stayed home facing nothing more exciting than cooking and cleaning for one more day, it would have been one day too many. Then I came in this morning to find a 27K order waiting for me.
Bossman almost smiled. Notify the press. Mark your calendars. It's a day to be remembered. I'm hoping this sudden influx of large orders means we'll be going back to our normal office hours soon. Keep your fingers crossed.
Bubbles is entertaining Tiny in her cubicle, so I think I'm going to go hide in the file room with this ginourmous pile of orders until the gagfest subsides.
Ya'll have a super dooper, double scooper Monday.
Later Taters!

It sounds like you all need a "super dooper, double scooper" pooper scooper to get through Monday's down there.

LOL!!! Yes we do :) I hope yours goes well.
why a pellet gun!? just bring out the ammo! not a jury in the world would convict ya.
WOOHOO! I wish I had A $27K order - even a 7K would do!! Congrats.
Too bad I don't make commission huh?
Ah-h .. there's something comforting about the asylum getting back to normal.
Normal being a relative term of course.
As much as I may think it would be wonderful to just sit around, do nothing all day -which some think that's what I do now most of the time though anyway -I actually do "something" now and then. Like today -I read a complete book -all 482 pages of it all in less than 13 1/2 hours! But that's still doing "something" isn't it? I did cook supper too, that counts for something, right? I would go bonkers if I didn't do a single blessed thing though -unless it was just to sleep and some days, I do try to do as much of that as possible too. Hope you get a few more of those nice big, fat orders now -keep things moving along there and keep the job aspect a bit more stable then too!
Peace.
bettejo: One thing is for sure, there's never a dull moment.
jeni: You have plenty to keep your hands full with all those grandbabies!! (and grandkitties:)

A pellet gun! I love it! I'd pay money to see that. I think you should start a comic strip to go along with some of this stuff. You know, Sniper Mahala peering over the cubicle wall with her pellet gun, taking out the evil and annoying Bubbles at the ankles. You're creative. You can do it!
