It Never Ends

Just a quick update before I hit the sack...

My car is going to cost $240.00 to fix. That includes an oil change, tune up and replacement of the belt/belts that caused it to be parked for two years. Yes that's right, it was just the belt. He also said the air conditioner was frozen up, but I opted to not get it fixed. It's not a problem this time of year and who knows if I'll still be driving it next summer.

It sounds awfully steep to me, but Cletus does have the only garage in town so it's not like I can get a bug up my butt and take it somewhere else. I found out he does take plastic, so I'm relieved that I won't have to use up all of my "emergency cash" (I know, I'm not prepared for much of an emergency.)

In the mean time, the Amazon has to take Sammy back to the vet tomorrow. His skin is getting better, but now he's got a big lump on his back between his shoulder blades. He looks like a midget Brahma bull.

I'll keep ya'll posted.

Mahala - if you lived near Chicago you'd probably be paying more than that! Take my word for it, I know nothing of Cletus (I love that name!!) - but I don't think he's taking you for a ride. :) If you were being charged just for parts - that would be different, but including labor - you might want to bake him a batch of cookies!! :)

It's true, labor charges are probably most of it. I dunno if I'd bake him any cookies though lol.

Great news that you will have your car back. I bet it will more then double your fuel economy. Enjoy the cooler fall weather.
