Catching Up

It's overcast and gray in the holler this morning, maybe rain will bring the unseasonably warm temperatures back down to normal. Linkin Park is playing on the internet radio, just to give Bubbles something to pray about and I'm.. dare I say it.. nearly caught up.

Sammy the Boston Baked Beagle is doing much better this week, even getting a little froggy and wanting to rough house. The Amazon is making him an appointment to get his stitches out and his conehead removed this week. Hopefully then we can get back to normal.. for us.

Ya'll may have noticed the absence of advertisements and my other assorted shameless attempts at making a buck in my sidebar. The truth is, for as long as I had those links up, I had made a whopping $0.00. The only venture that has proven profitable so far is writing sponsored posts and I'll continue to do that. I think you have to be careful to find a balance when you do those, you stand the chance of alienating your audience if you take too many paid writing opportunities. I've seen some blogs that are so saturated with sponsored posts that it's nearly impossible to determine what the original subject matter was. As for other ways to generate a little extra income, I've not given up. I'm still kicking a few other ideas around.

Anywho, I've got some filing to tackle. I'll be back later with more senseless drivel.

*UPDATE* I just wanted to point out that in my previous post, when I said I was on the couch watching "Phenomenon" with John Travolta, I did not mean to imply that John Travolta was spending his Sunday afternoons with me in Frog Pond Holler, watching movies.
