It's cloudy and cool in Frog Pond Holler this Good Friday morning. It looks like some whopper sized storms are moving our way, but the coffee's hot, I don't have to go to work and I plan to enjoy a day chock full of slothful bliss.
We all know those plans never seem to work out that way, but it's nice to dream.
For those of you keeping track of my truck related dilemmas, you'll be happy to know Jolene has been fitted with new rotors and brake pads. Now I can stop as easily as I can move forward, which is great because having to hold my breath every time I hit the brake was wearing thin on my nerves and probably contributed to the explosion of gray hair sprouting from my head. The Amazon's boss only charged me $40 to put them on.
Speaking of hair, I've got not one, but two boxes of hair color sitting on the end table, one regular box and another to highlight on top of that. I've been looking at them for a week, trying to get my nerve up. Ya'll wish me luck. My do it yourself beauty experiments don't always end up with success.
This could get ugly.
Anywho.. I think I'm gonna go play on the internet a while. Everyone else, critters and kin alike, are all asleep so I've got peace and quiet for a bit. I'll check back in later.
Ya'll have a good one.
Later Taters!

Happy Easter, Mahala. I'm glad to know your rotors are fixed. I hated to think of you trying to brake while going down a mountain road.
I went to the Aveda Instiute for a haircut the other day. Sounds nice, but it is in fact a basic school. I must say it is one of the best cuts I have had in years and less then half what I paid the last time (hair cuts are expensive in DC!)
Good luck with the color, remember they grey is a color.

Just save the boxes - I have actually used a helpline off of one of those and they were very very helpful!
Luck and chocolate!!
Lots of luck to you on the hair dying feat. I can't even imagine dying my own hair for fear it would all fall out...or turn...purple?
And since I'm here and not just lurking I would like to tell you your name came up tonight while Gregg and I were out having supper.
Gregg says to me, because we were talking about blogs, "I have to say that that Miguela lady is a riot. I just started reading her blog because she always leaves a funny comment when she comments on your blog and I really think she's funny."
I sat and stared at him like he had just sprouted a horn out of his head. He says "What? Why are you looking at me like I just sprouted a horn out of my head??" I said "I don't have a clue what or who you're talking about. I don't read a blog called Miguela and don't know anyone who comments on my blog named Miguela."
He pipes up and says "Miguela. MiGUELA." Like repeating it or saying it louder will help me.
Anyway, just try and imagine Gregg and I in a restaurant trying to figure out what the hell he's talking about, arguing for a bit and 'finally' figuring out...Gregg pops over here and reads...MAHALA!!!
And he loves your blog. And thinks you're incredibly funny. And I just about fell on the floor because the man doesn't take the time to read anything most days. So you know...I just thought you should know this. Gregg thinks you're funny. And reads your blog. And you have no idea how huge that is to receive a compliment of any kind from the likes of Gregg T.
