And They Make Fun of Buddhists?

Lawd have mercy! I just finished up entering a $54K order for the man, I reckon I can take a blogger break.

I had one of those sick headaches yesterday, the kind that make a hot, pukey feeling rise up through your body every time you move your head. Needless to say, I wussed out and went home at eleven o'clock.

Here I've been griping and moaning about my hours, I finally get the chance to work a full week and *boom*.. pukey headache.

Figures huh?

I'm finer than frog hair, split three ways today though, ready to face the world.. in one of those "kickin' ass and takin' names" kinda moods. Bubbles better look out.

There's been some church drama here in the holler this past week, making things uncomfortable here at the Asylum. I knew something was off kilter with my co-workers, but it's taken me a while to find out exactly what the dealio was. It seems the Methodist church out in the country is unhappy with their preacher and he's looking for greener pastures. I reckon his wife has been taking the pulpit from time to time, a practice frowned upon by the older members of the congregation. Also, apparently there was a brouhaha last year when he appointed someone to be the church treasurer who's sexual preferences are common knowledge all over town, never spoken of in "polite" company and don't set well with members of the church.

At the same time, the Baptist preacher here in town is fixin' to retire and the elders of that church have been talking to the Methodist preacher about taking his place.

This is where the plot thickens...

The Baptist congregation does not want a woman leading services either and they're worried that part of the Methodist church goers will follow their minister to the Baptist church. This is a problem because, from what I can gather, the Methodists are prone to a'hollerin' out "Amen" and "Praise the Lord" during services, which the older, gentler Baptist congregation finds unsettling.

Lulu goes to the Baptist church while Thelma and Louise attend the Methodist. Oh and.. Lulu and Louise are cousins, meaning it's boiling over in to a family wide rift.

And people can't understand why I don't go to church? Dang.. who needs the stress???

Anywho...

The Amazon's working today and tonight, so I'll have the house to myself this evening. I hope to get some writing done. It's coming along nicely.

Ya'll enjoy your Hump Day. Hump it like you just don't care.

Later Taters!

I'm humping. You think I care? LOL

I can't imagine a Methodist minister taking over a Baptist church. That's too weird.

I know.. I didn't think they could do that. But then, those Methodists sound kinda Baptist to me. It's all very confusing lol.

Ohhhhhh, we don't mix religious leaders here in WV. All the Baptists say all the non-Baptists are going to hell, especially those Catholics who changed the Bible and all. Yeah.

Glad your headache is all better.
