Let it Go

I made it to work this morning. Lulu, being the ever dedicated employee, had come in thirty minutes early so I rode in with Bubbles.

I've not accomplished much in the two hours I've been here. My hands are swollen and I feel like someone snuck in my house last night and flailed me senseless with a baseball bat. Ya'll don't reckon it could be stress do ya?

I talked to Cletus about my car. The conversation included many "hmmmms" and "ummms". I don't think he knows what the hell he's talking about. Now he's going on about a new radiator and some other crap. I've decided I'm just not going to worry about it. Let go and let God. I've worried myself silly over it for a week and it hasn't accomplished a thing, so I may as well stop.

We're one day closer to Friday. At least that's something.

Ya'll have a good one.

Did they check the thermostat? I "blew up" the motor in my Mom's old car -back in 1967 -when the thermostat stuck on it. Some jackass male at a gas station checked the water level on it -which was fine, just bubbling away -and told me I could make it another 3 miles with it easy (to the service station I normally used) but I couldn't as huge, white clouds of smoke were coming out from under the car, practically enveloping us. Anyway, a thermostat, if it is sticking - if you turn the heat on full blast is supposed to be helpful, so I've learned since then. (But I don't remember why.) Did Cletus say the radiator has a hole in it and that is why it is overheating? Do you have any friends who are half-way knowledgeable about auto mechanical stuff who could check this out for you, possibly give you a balance of diagnosis, as it were, to see what the heck is wrong with the vehicle? Too bad you are there and I'm up in Penna in my own version of "Frog Pond Holler" cause my son-in-law is a mechanic and could give you a good diagnosis plus fix it for less than a regular garage would charge you too. (He works on cars all day and then, in the evenings and on weekends too.)
Hope you can find someone who knows what they are doing and won't rip you off to fix it too.
